Kick start the new year by taking part in the Operation Transformation 5km walk or Run on this Saturday the 7th of january at 9.30 sharp at Muckross Traditional Farms. This is one of 80 such events taking place all over Ireland and the Killarney one is being organised by the Park Run which takes place very Saturday. To register log on to www.parkrun.ie/register

Any club members interested in getting active are encouraged to avail of the weekly free 5km timed runs which take place every Saturday morning at 9.30 am at the carpark in Muckross House and Gardens. It’s an ideal way from adults, children and families to walk or run against the clock all free of charge. Simply long onto the link below and register, print off your barcode and bring that with you anytime you run to receive your time following the run. It is a real family friendly event encouraging people of all ages to get active and run/walk/push the buggy at their own pace. A energizing and healthy way to kick start the weekend in beautiful surroundings. Everyone is then welcome to adjourn to the cafe for tea/coffee and post-race chat afterwards. Hope to see some club members taking part!

Torc RoomThe Kerry County Board, through the involvement of the County Health and Wellbeing Committee, is linked with the HSE’s Kerry Action Plan for Suicide Prevention.
A series of 5 very important public engagement sessions, are planned for September. These areaimed at getting the views of as many as possible for developing an action plan for suicide prevention in the county.
The attached a poster has details of dates, times and venues of these public meetings/sessions and it would be appreciated it this poster would be displayed in your club premises.
