MINOR: Kilcummin 1-8, Kerins O’Rahilly’s 2-5. The Kilcummin Minor Team drew with Kerins O’Rahilly’s in the County Minor League Division one semi final played in Kilcummin on Sunday night last. Kilcummin never got going in this game with a disappointing performance. Kilcummin kicked the opening point in the 3rd minute from the boot of Gary O’Leary. O’Rahilly’s were level in the 5th minute from a free. Kilcummin regained the lead in the 7th minute with an Ian Devane point. In the 9th minute James Devane was fouled and Gary O’Leary made no mistake from the resultant free. In the 11th minute Rahillys struck for a goal that put then into a one point lead. The sides were level in the 15th minute with a long range point from Christopher O’Leary point. Kerins O’Rahilly’s regained the lead in the 20th minute with a point and in the 24th minute O’Rahilly’s were awarded a penalty which went wide at the 1st attempt. The penalty was retaken and the 2nd attempt the kicker made no mistake to leave O’Rahilly’s ahead 2-2 to 0-4. Both sides added a point in the closing minutes. Half time score Kilcummin 0-5, Kerins O’Rahilly’s 2-3.  In the opening minute of the 2nd half Gary O’Leary pointed a free for a foul on Ian Devane. This score was cancelled out once more in the 7th minute with a Rahillys point. Kilcummin were back in this game in the 9th minute when Padraig Nagle collected a Gary O’Leary pass to kick a cracking goal and leave a point between the sides. Both sides missed scoring chances before in the 19th minute Rahillys extended their lead with a point. Kilcummin were now guilty of some scoreable chances, in the 24th minute Ger Sheehan kicked a 21m free for a foul on John McCarthy and with two minutes remaining Gary O’Leary landed the equalizer and as everyone taught the game was going to extra time. When the referee blew the final he did not play extra time. Final Score Kilcummin 1-8, Kerins O’Rahilly’s 2-5.
