Kilcummin GAA 5Km fun run & walk

Kilcummin GAA club are calling on all runners and walkers to take part in a 5km fun run & walk in aid of the juvenile club on Saturday the 15th of September at 4pm. Parents of juvenile members have organised the fundraisier as a way of involving as many people as possible in improving their fitness while raising funds for the juvenile club. It is hoped that runners and walkers of all levels will participate.
The 5k will start will start and end at the GAA grounds. Registration is €10 for adults and €5 for under 18s, with all funds going back into the juvenile club. Information and updates are available on www.kilcummingaa.com. Registration will take place on the morning of the run from 10.30 am to 12.00 and from 2.30-3.15pm at the clubhouse.
Prizes for first male and female home in the following categories: under 12s, 12-18s, 18-35 and over 35s. All those taking part will be entered in a raffle for spot prizes. Refreshments and entertainment (by DJ Gav) after the fun run.
The establishment of a Fit for Life Group is an important part of the clubs 5 Year plan and it is hoped that this 5km run & walk will kick start a fitness group in the club.
Players of all levels, mentors, club members and supporters are encouraged to take part.

Inaugural Kilcummin GAA 5Km Fun Run & Walk Is a Huge Success

The Family fun run and walk which took place on Saturday the 22nd September has proved to be a huge success.

In all 173 runners and walkers took part in the 5km fun run & walk in aid of the juvenile club . Runners and walkers of all levels participated in the walk and run in what turned out to be a great day for the club. The fun run was followed by refreshments and entertainment (by DJ Gav) . 

The Juvenile committee would like to thank all those who took part as well as those who  helped out on the day by orgainising the course, registration, stewarding,  refreshments and all the many jobs and tasks that such an event entails. A big thank you for your effort and commitment.

A special thank you is due to the organising committee whose preparations and planning ensured the day was a great success.
