Under 14 East Kerry Division 2 Champions

Well done to the Kilcummin U14 team who turned in a fantastic performance in Fitzgerald Stadium on Saturday 22nd July to record a 5-18 to 5-13 win over Dr. Crokes in the East Kerry Division 2 league final. On a dry evening with perfect conditions, the standard of football was high with many of our young team making their stadium debut.

Kilcummin opened brightly and kicked five excellent points on the trot. However, after recording a few wides, Crokes replied with 1-1. The sides swapped goals but Kilcummin finished the half in style to head to the dressing room with a well-deserved lead of 3-13 to 2-7. That lead was reduced dramatically on the restart with Crokes scoring two quick goals, but again our boys responded and found the net at the other end. Kilcummin then held the edge from there to the end, and playing some great free-flowing football they went on a record a deserved five point win.
