Our U21’s went down to Rathmore, after extra time, in Saturdays EK Championship semi final played at Kilcummin. The game ended Rathmore 1-21 Kilcummin 2-12. Goals from Ian Devane and Jamie O’Sullivan seemed to have done enough in the second half of this game to see the home side through to the final against the winners of Dr Crokes and Legion however an injury time equaliser by John Friel took the game to extra time. Rathmore introduced some fresh legs at this time and this was critical in the outcome. A very good showing by a young Kilcummin side who will have their day at this grade in the not too distant future.
