Credit Union Co League RD 1
Kilcummin 1-16
Austin Stacks 0-11
Home supporters left this game not only happy with a victory but the manner in which it was achieved. Playing fast incisive football Willie Maher charges also showed their ability to make good decisions and finish off good moves. Kilcummin welcomed back to senior football Gary O’Leary, Padraig Nagle and John McCarthy and while this was definitely a 17 man effort the performances of Kieran Murphy, Philip Casey, Donal Maher and Noel Duggan stood out.
Team: Brendan Kealy (0-3, 3f), Sean Brosnan, Daniel Moynihan, Sean O’Leary, Donal Maher, Philip Casey (0-1), William Maher, Kevin Gorman (0-2), Kieran Murphy (0-1), John McCarthy, Gary O’Leary (1-2) , Padraig Nagle, Ian Devane, (0-1) Damien O Leary, Noel Duggan, (0-6, 3f). Mass: Mass for deceased members will be held in the clubhouse on this Thursday at 8.30pm. Everyone welcome.
Oskars: Just two weeks away and the rehearsals are almost complete. Filming will commence shortly and by all accounts there is a lot of hidden acting talent in the parish about to be revealed on March 29th. This event jointly run by Kilcummin and Glenflesk has really caught the imagination and is one definitely not to be missed. Main sponsor is KWD but a full list of sponsors will be available on the website. Tickets are available from Kilcummin Post Office, O’Brien’s Topshop Glenflesk, Variety Sounds, Who’s For Shoes, INEC Box Office and from the local organising committee.
