Kilcummin Under 12 Girls Win Division 4 County Title

Kilcummin under 12 Girls captured a well deserved county league title on Saturday with a thrilling victory over a Laune Rangers side that had beaten them twice earlier on in the campaign.

Kilcummin came out on top in the League final winning by 3-5 to 1-7.

In a tight game Kilcummin managed to go in at half time level pegging with a goal just before half time to leave the scores at Kilcummin 1-2 Laune Rangers 0-5. It was touch and go in the second half with both sides providing a great hour of entertainment and it was only in the last seconds of the game, with the final point, could the Kilcummin girls feel in any way safe.

The team was Eabha Dwyer, Claire Stagg, Liadain O’Connor, Eva Leslie, Aislinn Burke, Jessica O’Neill, Ailbhe Brosnan, Anna Hannigan (0-1), Beibhinn Brosnan, Abbey O’Leary(0-1) Jenny Healy (1-1), Eleana Doherty, Aoireann Moriarty, Shauna O’Donoghue (2-2), Olwyn Evans. Lillie Foley came on at half time for Aoireann. Caoimhe Lehane, Jean Foley, Molly Doyle, Nicole Williams.

The Girls will be out again on Saturday 11th October when they take on Firies in the final of their group of the East Kerry League in Farranfore at 5pm.
