Kilcummin Under 12 Boys Season Update

U12 boys play Laune Rangers at home on 14th June at 6pm. Having played very well in Division 1 of the County League for Phase 1 – Kilcummin’s U12 boys finished with 7 points out of a possible 10 and 1 point behind winners Laune Rangers – we remained in the top flight for the 5 games in Phase 2 of the competition. The Red team started this phase off with a cracking 5-16 to 0-16 win over Austin Stacks in Tralee while the Green team lost out by 4 points on a 5-8 to 2-13 scoreline against the same opposition. Our third team, featuring many U10s, beat their Stacks counterparts on a 5-21 to 5-19 scoreline.

A disappointing performance a week later saw our Red team go down to Na Gaeil on a 0-14 to 1-5 scoreline in Tralee while our Green team had 8 points to spare, winning 5-22 to 5-14. However, the Red team bounced back to winning ways this weekend, outscoring Ballymac on a 3-14 to 3-7 scoreline at home in Kilcummin while our Green team lost out to their Ballymac opposition.

We conclude Phase 2 with games at home to a very strong Laune Rangers team on 14th June at 6.pm and then head to Kenmare for the final game on June 21st which will also be at 6pm. Well done to all players on your excellent efforts to date and best of luck for the next 2 weekends.
