Our senior ladies were defeated by Austin Stacks in the final of the County Junior B Championship played in Caherslee, Tralee, last evening. Defeat came by virtue of a goal in the 3rd minute of injury time. While referee Tom Lynch gave Kilcummin a chance to respond the tack was empty having fought back from a 12 point defecit at one point in the second half to lead by 2 points entering injury time. An awful way to lose a game but I have no doubt that this team will be back again next year and having already gained promotion to Division 3 of the County League for 2012 (Austin Stacks won the Division 3 league in 2012) these players can be proud of their progress this year. Final score in Caherslee last evening was Austin Stacks 3-12 Kilcummin 4-07
